Get a Free Number For SMS Verification If You Don’t Want To Put Your Own Number

If you don’t want to use your own number in every app and site that ask you for a SMS verification, with a few steps you can get a free number online and voila, you will not have to put your own number anymore. This method is quite handy and it really works. A huge number of people have used this method to verify their accounts.
SMS or calling verification is needed to verify the ownership of account. Usually when you create a new account on any page, except email verification it may ask for a SMS verification. So you will need to enter your phone number a wait for that SMS with a code to confirm that you are a real person and not a robot. There is nothing to worry about that because in most of the cases the information is safe but if you are concerned and don’t want to put your own number still is something you can do.
With a few steps you can get a few number online and use it for that SMS verification. The procedure of verification is the same as you use a phone but in this case you will not receive a SMS on your phone but in your computer. So without further ado let’s jump on the tutorial to get a free number and verify any account you want without needing to enter your real phone number.
Step one: Create an account at Pinger. Go to this site and create an account with a valid email address because you will need to confirm the email in order to activate the account. Setting up an account is so easy and you will not have have any difficulty doing it.
Step 2: You need a US Zip Code. It is needed a US Zip Code because it supports only US phone numbers. For example you can use 47144 which is Indiana State zip code. You can use this or any other state zip code.
Step Three. Get your number. Once you have entered the zip code, you will see a list of phone numbers and you can choose any of them. Choose wisely because after this step you can’t change it to another phone number. After you choose the number click confirm and you will be logged in.
Step Four: Activate your email address. Head over to your email client and activate your email address.
Step Five: Install Pinger app. This step is optional because Pinger app is needed in case you want to receive calls and texts directly on your phone.
Step Six: Send a text or voicemail to your computer or phone.

How To Write Your Blog Post For more Social Share?

Have you written a well-researched and high-quality article but were disappointed as it did not get the attention it deserved? Also, have you noticed that there are few articles which are not very well written but have received a lot of likes and shares. Well, the reason is even though you have the best content in the world but if it doesn’t look inviting, attractive, scannable or if it is not well structured, you are less likely to earn a great response for it.
In this post, I will share why formatting is important and tips to format your blog post so that it gets the attention it deserves.

Why Formatting Your Blog post-Crucial?

According to a Microsoft study, the average attention span of an internet user has dropped substantially from 12 seconds in 2000, to just eight seconds in 2015.
So, you just have 8 seconds to attract a reader and convert a lead into a potential. Failing to attract a customer can lead to huge losses. Therefore, why not format your content and make sure that you don’t lose any reader as formatting will take only 10-15 minutes of your time. Moreover, It’s not a rocket science which involves technicality.
Read below few killer tips which I use while I write articles.

Practical Tips for Formatting your Blog Posts

1. Scannable:
Make your article easy to browse through. Within few seconds, a reader decides whether he wants to read a content or not. If your content is cluttered and not properly structured, it’s highly probable that the readers will click away before even knowing that how great your content was.
Let’s take an example from ShoutMeLoud:
Unformatted blog post
Formatted blog post
Both the images are from the same blog post. However, the top image is the unformatted version and the other a formatted version. Which one do you think a reader would like to spend time on?
2. Use bullets, lists and Highlight:
If you see blogs such as ScoopWhoop, BuzzFeed, Entrepreneur or ShoutMeloud, you will notice a lot of usage of bullet points and lists type article. The reason is:
  • Lists are easy to scan and read
  • Captures readers attention
  • It stands out from rest of the blog post
Apart from using lists and bullets, you can also highlight the important sections or sentences of your blog post. Your aim should be to format in a way that even if the reader reads out just the highlight points and the lists, he should be able to get the gist of the article.
3. Use Sub-Headings:
Your sub-heading should be able to tell what that particular section is all about. For example, in this particular post, I have used two major sub-headings, “why is formatting important”‘ and “Killer tips for formatting”. By just reading the sub-headings, it gives you an idea of what the section is all about plus it also draws readers attention towards it.
Use headings tags wisely in WordPress. H1 tag is for blog titles. H2 tag is the sub-heading of H1 tag and H3 tag is the sub-heading of H2 tag.
4. Use the right images:
Humans process visuals more efficiently than text. According to Jeff Bullas, articles with images get 94% more total views than articles without images. You can use an image, infographic, gifs, memes or screenshots. Use at least one image per blog post. The maximum number depends on the type and relevance of the post.
You can also add captions to the image as it will increase the quality of content and will be more relevant.
In fact, according to Socialfresh, animated graphics were the best type of images to use in you blog posts if you want to generate more shares. (created using data from Quicksprout study)

5. Use the Inverted Pyramid Method:
We have been always told to start with the foundation of the blog post and then move towards the conclusion. However, it’s always better to start with the conclusion and then move towards the body of the blog post. The initial few lines should explain to the reader that why are they reading the post and what’s in for them.
See this graphic from Coschedule:

6. Highlight Quotes:
Make your quote set apart from rest of your blog post. You can bold it and place it within inverted commas. You can also use the Click to Tweet plugin by Coschedule so that readers can tweet it.
This will widen the reach of your blog post, and you are likely to get more likes and shares.
7. Use Call to action at the end:
It’s important to let your readers know what you want them to do at the end of the post. Don’t assume that they will take an action without asking for it. You can ask them to post a comment, share it with their friends or on social media, give suggestions or give them some bonus like a free ebook, etc.
The key here is to let the readers take action before they click away from your blog.
Do you have any formatting tips in your mind which you use for your blog? I would love to know your thoughts on it. Lastly, feel free to spread this love to your friends who you think can benefit from this post.

By supporting ‘Digital Equality’ on Facebook, actually you supported an ‘Evil’ or 'Angel' ?

Facebook Launches 'Save Free Basics' Campaign in India

Facebook's has launched a campaign that shows up on the top of its feed for Indian users, exhorting them to send a message to the Trai in support of Free Basics in India.

Claiming to support digital equality, the Save Free Basics campaign page provides users with a pre-written response to Trai saying the initiative could connect a billion Indians online. The pre-written message says that over a billion Indians would be hurt by the shutting down of its Free Basics program.

The page exhorts users to send the response, claiming "Free Basics is in danger in India." Directly pointing to the SaveTheInternet campaign, the page adds, "A small, vocal group of critics are lobbying to have Free Basics banned on the basis of net neutrality. Instead of giving people access to some basic Internet services for free, they demand that people pay equally to access all Internet services, even if that means 1 billion people can't afford to access any services... Unless you take action now, India could lose access to free basic Internet services, delaying progress towards digital equality for all Indians. Tell the Trai that you support Free Basics and digital equality in India. The pre-written response to Trai is reproduced in full below:
"To the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, I support digital equality for India. Free Basics provides free access to essential Internet services, such as communication, education, healthcare, employment, farming information and more. It helps those who can't afford to pay for data, or who need a little help with getting started online. And it's open to all people, developers and mobile networks. With 1 billion Indian people not yet connected, shutting down Free Basics would hurt our country's most vulnerable people. I support Free Basics and digital equality for India. Thank you."

The Web form has a 'Send Email' submit button that lets Facebook allegedly send your response, name, email address, to Trai, but it also works in incognito, so the user doesn't have to be signed to Facebook to support the campaign. Users can send anonymous messages with random names, without having to enter an email address.

Two people familiar with the net neutrality debate said that this seemed like a new development.

"This is something new, that Facebook is officially doing," said Karthik Balakrishnan, one of the volunteers behind the SaveTheInternet campaign that sent over 1.1 million emails in April this year in response to Trai's consultation paper.

"I would be very surprised if they send emails to Trai for every submission that happened. Even though the campaign says email, it's mostly a signatory thing, they will collect all of this and send a collated list to claim that certain number of people have campaigned to save Free Basics." he said.

In an emailed response, a Facebook spokesperson offered the following quote:Hundreds of millions of people in India use the Internet every day and understand the benefits it can bring. This campaign's goal is to give these people the opportunity to support digital equality in India and help connect the billion who remain offline by giving them a voice in the public debate that is being held by The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on differential pricing for data services."

This Is what was visible to us now time to think about this also -

By supporting ‘Digital Equality’ on Facebook, you supported an ‘Evil’; Don’t fall in TRAP

Now we know that Facebook can play any kind of mind-game to promote its free basics. It already knows that Indian people are not ready to accept its ‘Free Basics’ just because we do not want Internet to be ruled by Facebook and its partners who can pay. So, Facebook has started an emotional campaign called ‘digital equality’. If you are too emotional to support this, I want you to know that it is a trap.
Earlier morning, I received few notifications from friends who supported ‘digital equality’ campaign from Facebook.
When I clicked on this, I found that it was not the support to ‘digital equality’. It is a campaign to get support for its ‘Free Basics’. This is irony. Facebook is talking about ‘digital equality’ but promoting ‘Free basics’ to snatch the digital equality of web publishers.
Why ‘Free basics’ is just opposite to ‘Digital Equality’
‘Free basics’ is a platform to offer Internet for free but this Internet will be paid by advertisers. So, it is just an internet with the websites which can pay for the visits of their users. Now, see it like if Flipkart is paying for its customers, ‘Free basics’ users will only be able to access Flipkart for free and hence they will stop using Snapdeal or others. Is it giving, e-commerce store an equality? No, it is promoting its advertisers and offering them more customers.
Now, see it in broader way. There are various startups which do not have enough budget to advertise the visit of new customers. They will never get most of the people just because people want to access free Internet now. India is the country where free thing is more important and people become blind to use it. So, think how medium and small websites will grow in India. They will never get equal chance?
Is it the equality? No, it is the ruling of Internet by Facebook. Facebook and its telecom partner will decide what ‘Free Basics’ users will see.
I am very sorry to say that our country is too emotional. And most of the companies exploit this to advertise their product. Just by seeing see ‘equality’ and ‘feminism’ words, People in our country blindly support the cause without thinking about its pros and cons. Life is a like a chess game, always think the effect of what you are doing.
In directly, thousands of users sent support email to TRAI. This is disappointing.
I hope TRAI will consider this TRAP in mind before deciding anything about ‘Free Basics’.
Kindly share Your valuable thoughts.
